Karen was born in Denver, Colorado but she calls Wyoming home. The wide-open spaces, beautiful landscapes, and wonderful people are beyond compare. During the long winters Karen loves to read, watch movies, organize closets and pantries, move furniture around, and get creative making things she finds on Pinterest.

Lifelong learning is important, and Karen has been taking college classes through Western Wyoming Community College for several years and may even eventually earn a degree. Karen also participated in and completed the Leadership Carbon County Program in 2019. It was a great way, to meet other leaders in our community and see how the county and city work independently and together.

Karen is the Executive Assistant at the Carbon County Higher Education Center. She has been with CCHEC since 2001, working behind the scenes organizing, partnering, problem solving, and helping in any way possible.
