Thanks to Mary Read, BLM Wildlife Biologist, for presenting to our welding students last week. This semester’s welding students worked on a BLM project that was sponsored by HF Sinclair Refining Company. Students welded pipe fence to convert wooden rail fence to steel fence for the Highwater Reservoir Wildlife Exclosure project. The goal of this project is to reduce elk and mule deer from tearing down the fence, which will protect the reservoir from livestock and wild horse use. Today students will go out to the site and help to install the fence that they built. Stay tuned!
Shout out to #WWCC for sending these bags of goodies to our dual and concurrent students! As you can tell they loved their new gear!
