SkillsUSA is a national society that encourages excellence in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. Students participating in SkillsUSA test themselves by competing with other students from around the state and nation. The competitions are top flight and CCHEC students have compared favorably with some of the best CTE students in the nation. The organization is structured to teach business etiquette, teamwork, community service, and technical excellence in a field of study. As students are honing their craft, they are learning how to present themselves to future employers or investors and to use their skills to solve real life problems.

SkillsUSA’s mission is to empower its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens. To learn more, visit their website here.

The local chapter of SkillsUSA is completing a year of reorganization and will come roaring back in 2022-2023 with students ready to compete in all of our CTE programs.
