🎉 CONGRATULATIONS to our welding students, Israel Garcia, Traven Fritz, and Ferris Smith, who made it to the top 30 of the Steel Day Welding Competition! 🎉 Over 500 high school juniors and seniors from all over Wyoming took part in this two-day skills and knowledge competition. Our students not only showed up but also showed off their welding skills.🔥 They each earned a $1,000 Rex I. Lewis Scholarship to help them continue their education at any Wyoming Community College! And that’s not all - they also won some cool welding swag! Thanks a bunch to PUMA Steel and LCCC for organizing such a fantastic competition! ...

🩺 Hands on learning! 🩺

Barbs high school CNA students took their skills to the next level this week in the lab. Barb set up a realistic simulation where every “patient” was treated as if they had Covid. This allowed them to practice proper PPE use, along with practicing their CPR skills. What a great learning experience! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

✨On behalf of the Carbon County Higher Education Center team and the CCHEC Foundation we would like to extend our gratitude to Sondergard TGF for their generosity and continued support!
