CCHEC Celebrates 30 Years Educating
RAWLINS— Carbon County Higher Education Center is hosting an open house for the public on Wednesday, October 14, from 5-7 p.m. at the Career & Technical Education Center at 1650 Harshman. The open house is being held in celebration of CCHEC’s 30th Anniversary.
Memory boards featuring highlights from the past 30 years will be featured during the Open House. “In the last 30 years the community has changed a lot,” said CCHEC Director, Dave Throgmorton. “CCHEC has changed not only to keep up, but in some occasions to drive it. We want our students to look to us to see the future.”
The open house is free to the public and will have many fun and interactive activities. There will be refreshments, information on educational opportunities for the community, and giveaways including student made items, WWCC theatre tickets, and UW football tickets. An interactive look at the CCHEC vocational programs will also be offered, including free blood pressure checks.
