Medical Transcriptionists (MTs) and other industry experts (editors, service owners, trainers) who are successfully involved in the medical transcription industry actually developed this program.
Work at your own pace. Take up to one year to complete or more (extensions available at an additional cost)
You will gain your expertise through hands-on experience and nearly 1,000 actual physician-dictated medical reports that you type. This means that you are practicing with real-world scenarios that are dictated by actual doctors to be placed in a patient's chart.
With your paid tuition of $1,550 you receive: on-line curriculum; a WAV foot pedal with software; Dorland' Illustrated Medical Dictionary; pharmacology and terminology books; word lists and flashcards.Supplemental books are available for an additional charge.
What you must have before you register in the Medical Transcription class: a working computer; a functioning sound card; a minimum 56k modem; an Internet Service Provider; and a word processing program.
Besides top-of-the-line, quality instruction you will also get: access to a national employment directory; job placement consultation services; a contract and pricing guide; a book on medical transcription entrepreneurship; resume and sales letter assistance, and a letter of introduction; as well as lifetime access to the assistance hotline.
