Computer Aided Manufacturing/Computer Numerical Control (CADD/CNC)
Today, many machining processes are performed by Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines. These machines are capable of producing very complex parts which could not be reproduced by a manually operated machine. CNC machines also produce parts with extreme accuracy and speed. These are the mainstay of today’s manufacturing world. This class will take the student through the basic operations of Solidworks, CAMWorks and the use of a CNC router. The student will use parts designed in Solid Works and move through the steps of the CAM software to produce the parts using the CNC router.

CNC Routing
This course will allow the participant to explore the use of computer control in sign making. Instruction will be provided in the use of computer aided design software specific to sign making and the proper operation of a computer numerical control router. Participants will have the opportunity to design and machine their own custom sign from wood.
